FAQS
What age is this Sippy Cup suitable for?
This cup is ideal for babies and toddlers transitioning from bottles, typically from around 6–12 months and up. The soft silicone straw and removable handles make it perfect for early independence, while the bite-control flow and weighted straw support confident sipping as they grow into independent drinkers (often 1–3 years+).
Is it truly leak-proof?
Yes, our leak-free design with a secure flip-top lid keeps everything clean and dry on the go. The anti-backflow technology prevents liquid from flowing back into the straw, and the protected straw stays hygienic (no soggy bags or car-seat surprises!). While no cup is 100% invincible to extreme throws, it's built to handle real-life toddler adventures without messy spills.
How does the weighted straw work, and can they really drink upside down?
The weighted straw lets your little one sip from any angle, even upside down or lying back in the pram, without needing to tilt the cup constantly. This reduces frustration and makes hydration easier during play, naps, or travel. Just give it a gentle shake if needed to get the weight to the bottom.
What is Tritan, and why is it better than regular plastic?
Tritan is a tough, transparent, shatter-resistant material that doesn't stain, crack easily, or retain odours/flavours. It's 100% BPA-free, food-grade, and built to survive drops and throws from growing families, keeping it looking clear and new for longer.
How do I clean it, and is it dishwasher safe?
The cup is dishwasher-friendly (top rack recommended for longevity). All parts disassemble quickly for thorough cleaning. We recommend hand-washing the straw occasionally for extra hygiene.
How do I sterilise the Sippy Cup?
Sterilisation is recommended when you first get the cup, after illness, or if you want extra peace of mind (daily cleaning usually suffices after that). Disassemble all parts (cup, lid, straw, handles, and weight). Safe methods include:
- Boiling: Place parts in a pot and cover with boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove and air-dry on a clean rack or towel.
- Cold sterilising solution: Submerge in a baby-safe sterilising tablet/solution for the recommended time (usually 30 minutes), ensuring no air bubbles trap inside parts.
Do not put it in microwave or use superheated steam for high temperature disinfection. Avoid harsh chemicals or very high heat beyond 109°C to protect the Tritan and silicone. Always rinse thoroughly after any method.
Can I remove the handles as my child grows?
Yes, the easy-grip removable handles are designed to grow with your bub. Keep them on for early stages to build confidence, then remove them as your toddler masters big-kid skills and prefers holding the cup directly.
What liquids can I put in it?
For best performance and longevity, we recommend sticking to water.
